TonyMoly Must-Have Beauty Items for Beauty Junkie

For the past few weeks, I have been watching a lot of Korean makeup tutorials on YouTube. And guess what? I still haven’t figured out how they got that flawless and dewy skin! But! That’s a story for another day. Today, I wanna talk about a Korean makeup company called TonyMoly. I’m sure all of you have heard about that company and even tried some of their products. They have a wide range of beauty items from skincare products to makeup products and also nail polishes! But what are the must-haves that you gotta have in your collection? Well check out below.

1. Lipstick

Lipstick is essential in everyone’s makeup collection. When you were just starting out with makeup, lipsticks were the first thing that you bought, am I right? It’s amazing how with just putting on lipstick could bring out the confidence in you! TonyMoly has all the nudes, pinks and reds that suit your skin tone. My personal favourite is Rose Masala (nude), Lovely Cherry (pink), and Red Chilli (red).

Tips and tricks: Before putting on your lipstick, put some lip balm or petroleum jelly on your lips to moisturize them. Nobody wants flaky and dry lips, right? And if you want that Korean style stained lips, use a lip brush to apply! Remember to first apply on the inner part of your lips and working your way out to the outer part of your lips using only the remaining product on your lip brush.
2. BB Cream + CC Cream + Foundation
You know how those makeup guru you see on YouTube giving tips like “oh you can use BB cream first, and then CC cream, and top it all of with foundation” I mean, nobody got time for 3 layers of creams that may or may not be the same colour of your skin tone.  But with TonyMoly BCDation Cushion Plus, you get all the goodness of BB cream and CC cream and foundation in just one product! Yes I am so excited about this product! It’s an all-in-one base with light-weight coverage and long staying power. You’ll have a fresh and dewy skin from day to night.
Tips and tricks: Always moisturize and prime your face before doing your makeup. Moisturize to make sure you won’t get product clinging on your dry skin and prime your face to make your makeup even more long-lasting.
3. Eyeshadow palette
Please take your time to appreciate the gorgeous shades in these palettes. The browns, the pinks, and that gorgeous army green shade on the second Eyetone palette which is my favourite palette out of these two. You can not go wrong with browns and pinks on your lids. I know I’m not confident enough to wear blue or bright green or yellow and some of you are, too, and having a palette that has all the colours that we actually use is amazing! And it’s worth the money, too!

Tips and tricks: Use eyeshadow primer to prime. You don’t have one? You can use a bit of your concealer to cover the veins on your lids. I would use a pencil brush and take some shimmery brown shade and apply it all over my lids, extending them to create a wing. I would apply the eyeshadow on my lower lash, too. Wing eyeliner. Mascara. Bam! You’re good to go.

4. Facial soap

Tell me you don’t wanna make a soft-boiled egg out of these cute Egg Pore Shiny Skin Soap! Cleansing your face is a must right after you got out of bed in the morning and right before you go to sleep every night. Make it a habit to always have a freshly cleansed face before sleeping, okay? Your skin will love it. This soap has effective pore clarifying and purifying ingredients to clear your blackheads, whiteheads, and other nasty impurities that might clog your pores. Let’s be real here — we all struggle with blackheads and massive pores.

5. Sheet masks

How do you know if a brand is Korean-based company? Sheet masks! It is heavenly to have a pampering session once in a while especially after a long week of work and classes and you just want to relax and pamper and give attention to your skin. It is a good stress-reliever, too. My personal favourite is Earth Beauty Mud Mask Sheet and I’m Real Aloe Moisturizing Mask Sheet.  I love mud sheet mask because it cleanses impurities in my pores and aloe sheet mask to regenerate acne scars. As you all know, aloe vera is well-known for its property to heal scars so having inexpensive sheet masks to clear my it’s-been-a-year-why-are-you-still-on-my-face scars? Yes!

Tips and tricks: My pampering night routine consists of: 1. Cleanse. 2. Tone. 3. Sheet masks. 4. Night cream/moisturizer/eye gel/serum. 5. An enough sleep.
